The Enhanced Ethernet Switch (EES) from Technica Engineering is an Automotive grade Ethernet switch with AVB/TSN capabilities that allows the users to connect up to 8x gigabit ethernet ports and 2 x 1Gb/10Gb ports. It is the successor of the Technica MediaGateway. It comes in three variants, depending on the type of connector. Besides VLANs, port mirroring, forwarding or filtering, deep inspection through TCAM rules, port segmentation, and many other features offered by Layer 2 switches, it provides a reliable gPTP/802.1AS automotive profile stack for time synchronization.


Capture modules

Based on Technica's previous (March 2020) SPY family (100BASE-T1 SPY 12 Port and 1000BASE-T1 SPY Mini), these Capture Modules are a new generation of testing tools.

The Capture Modules are using the most advanced AD and V2X traffic tapping technology and solve the key challenges of today’s Automotive network traffic data logging and recording. All captured data is transferred via a standard Ethernet network (Ethernet MAC frames on Layer 2) to a standard PC or a dedicated logger, if available. Complete solutions are working on prototype test vehicles, both at OEMs and at Tier 1s.

A very flexible solution that captures all your data regardless of type (CAN, CAN-FD, Flexray, LIN, Ethernet 100/1000BASE-T1, SerDes), also compatible with AVB/TSN.

You can configure it according to your requirements and it possesses all common hardware interfaces and systems from your specific electronics environment. The test bench is above all characterized by the fact that real loads can be realized.

Up to 32 basic cards can be operated in parallel, thus making it possible to simulate up to 448 channels at the maximum capacity level.

Adapters for different connector types

Two Important connector technologies for Automotive Ethernet products are Rosenberger® H-MTD and MATEnet by TE Connectivity®. Especially due to the useage by important OEMs in the Automotive industry, these connector types have strongly gained in popularity over the last years. We provide both H-MTD and MATEnet versions of many of our newest hardware products, to be able to provide suitable testing solutions for these technologies. Advantages of the Rosenberger and TE Connectivity connector systems are that they can both be used for 100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet connections and that they have Automotive grade housings. Our H-MTD to MATEnet adapter offers a simple possibility to connect the two systems in a unique way. This adapter is frequently used in test setups, where we use our Capture Modules together with Automotive ECUs that have H-MTD connectors. Please be aware of the minimum quantities for pure accessory purchases.
